Brockmire and Emma Jean Heider were married June 15, 1969, at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.

They have two children, Michael (Julie) Brockmire of Cape Girardeau and Kathy (Joseph) Prokopf of Jackson. They have two granddaughters, Lauren Brockmire and Shelby Prokopf.
