The couple was married July 17, 1959, in Libby, Mont.
The Bowens have three children, Jimmy (Kelly) Bowen of Cape Girardeau, William T. (Melissa) Bowen of Louisville, and Mari (Robert) Hermann of Omaha, Neb.
They have seven grandchildren, Nicole, Aris, Kelson, Chase; Sydney; Tierney and Peyton.
