The Rev. and Mrs. Loren Boettcher of Cape Girardeau recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
A dinner with family and friends was held Aug. 12, 2007, in Mayer, Minn. They celebrated with a service Sept. 1, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hannibal, Mo., followed by a reception and supper in the parish hall.
The couple was married Sept. 7, 1957, at Immanuel Church in Hannibal.
Their children and spouses are the Rev. Mark and Amee Boettcher of Jackson, Joel Boettcher of Independence, Mo., Hope and Steve Botwinski of Cape Girardeau, and Joy and Terry Meyer of Ruma, Ill. They have five grandchildren, Faith, Grace and Paul Boettcher of Jackson, Hannah and Josephine Meyer of Ruma.
