Son Daniel John was born at 10:23 a.m. and weighed 4 pounds, 8.1 ounces. Mrs. Young is the former Jill Edwards, daughter of John and Pat Edwards of Cape Girardeau. She was employed by Speech Language Learning Systems Inc. in Chesterfield. Young is the son of Ellen Ogier of St. Louis and Ron and Delaine Young of Jonesburg, Missouri. He is employed by the Rockwood School District in St. Louis. He teaches at Wildwood Middle School and is head coach of girls' volleyball at Layfayette High School.
