Mrs. Kasten is the former Carla Haertling, daughter of Ruben and Carol Haertling of Altenburg, Mo. She is an administrative assistant at L-3 Communications Integrated Systems. Kasten is the son of Milton and JoAnn Kasten of Jackson. He is a mechanical engineer with L-3 Communications.

Petitt

Son to Paul and Christy Petitt of Paducah, Ky., Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, 9:48 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003. Name, Andrew Carter. Weight, 8 pounds 1 ounce. Second son. Mrs. Petitt is the former Christy Glastetter, daughter of Ronald and Mary Glastetter of New Hamburg, Mo. She is a registered nurse. Petitt is the son of Jerry and Shirley Petitt of Scott City. He is a chemical engineer.

Phelps

Son to Rodney Allen and Anna Nicole Phelps of Friedheim, Southeast Missouri Hospital, 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003. Name, Nathan Garrett. Weight, 4 pounds 1 ounce. Mrs. Phelps is the former Anna Green, daughter of Arthur and Edith Green of Sturdivant, Mo. She is employed at Heartland Plastic and Hand Surgery. Phelps is the son of Rodney and Vicki Phelps Sr. of Advance, Mo. He is employed at P&G Electric.

Mrs. Lara Guitierrez is the former Rosa Speakman, daughter of Rose Speakman of Cape Girardeau, and the late William L. Speakman. Lara Guitierrez is the son of Evanjelina Guitierrez of Cape Girardeau, and the late Bardomiano Lara. He is employed at Kasten Masonry Sales Inc.
