Mrs. Spies is the former Jennifer Roth, daughter of Franklin and Annette Roth of Scott City. She is a medical technologist at St. Francis. Spies is the son of Ray and Nancy Spies of Cape Girardeau, and the late Rosetta Spies. He is a cell technician at Dana Corp.

Schlimpert is the son of Mary Schlimpert and Milton Schlimpert of Altenburg, Mo. He is a carpenter with M&R Construction.
