Son to B.J. Bowlin and Elizabeth Agnes Trankle of Cape Girardeau, Southeast Hospital, 1:02 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011. Name, Jaxon Matthew. Weight, 7 pounds, 4 ounces. Ms. Trankle is the daughter of Robert and Marilyn Trankle of Chaffee, Mo. She is a key manager, bartender and server at Texas Roadhouse. Bowlin is the son of Chester and Tonya Bowlin of Elwood, Ind. He is a bartender, disc jockey and maintenance worker.

Shaffer

Daughter to Jason and Jenny Shaffer of Kirkwood, Mo., St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, 12:42 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011. Name, Gabriella Ruth. Weight, 6 pounds, 6 ounces. Third child, first daughter. Mrs. Shaffer is the former Jenny Lage, daughter of Dori Lage of Cape Girardeau, and the late Wally Lage. Shaffer is the son of Terry and Sharon Shaffer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is a nurse anesthetist at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis.

Goodin

Son to Arthur Lee and Emily Cailin Goodin II of Bloomfield, Mo., Southeast Hospital, 8:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011. Name, Noah James. Weight, 7 pounds, 11 ounces. Third child, second son. Mrs. Goodin is the former Emily Schloss, daughter of Larry Schloss and Brenda Schloss of Cape Girardeau. She is employed by Butler County Health Department. Goodin is the son of Arthur Goodin and Sarah Goodin of Bloomfield. He is employed by Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Bailey

Son to Deshane S. Bailey and Betty S. Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Southeast Hospital, 4:14 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011. Name, Deshane Shanta Jr. Weight, 6 pounds, 9 ounces. Fifth child, third son. Ms. Johnson is the daughter of Betty Coomer and Dai Coomer of Cape Girardeau. Bailey is the son of Ruth Rushman and John Peterson of Detroit, Mich. He is a customer service agent.

Wittenborn

Son to Danny and Andrea Wittenborn of Washington, D.C., Sibley Memorial Hospital, 2:01 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011. Name, Ethan Daniel. Weight, 8 pounds, 10 ounces. First child. Mrs. Wittenborn is the daughter of Gary and Marsha Holloway of Mount Vernon, Ill. She is an assistant professor at Virginia Tech University in Falls Church, Va. Wittenborn is the son of Brad and Michele Wittenborn of Cape Girardeau. He works in engineering education at Boeing Corp. in Arlington, Va.
