Second child, first daughter. Mrs. Hartmann is the former Teresa Swartz, daughter of Charles and Chiyoko Swartz of Temple City, Calif. She is a doctoral candidate in sociology at the University of California-San Diego. Hartmann is the son of Robert and Esther Hartmann of Cape Girardeau. He is assistant professor of sociology at the University of Minnesota.

Mrs. Corbin is the former Susan Myles, daughter of Ken and Jean Myles of Cape Girardeau. She is a federal tax manager with May Co. Stores Inc. in St. Louis. Corbin is the son of Grover Corbin of Cape Girardeau and the late Mary Ann Corbin. He is a machinist at Precision Forging Inc. in Valley Park.
