Second child, first son. Mrs. Hanks is the former Gretchen Fornkahl, daughter of Gary and Karen Fornkahl of Cape Girardeau. She is a highway designer with Missouri Department of Transportation. Hanks is the son of Jim and Debbie Hanks of Cape Girardeau. He is employed at Nell Holcomb School and is a firefighter with East County Fire Protection District.
