Birks married 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Clement Birk of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner and reception Jan. 12 at Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

Hosts were their children and spouses, Gary and Sandy Birk of St. Louis and Saundra and Thomas Farrington of Cape Girardeau.

Birk and Irene Sander were married Dec. 19, 1941, at Tilsit, Mo., by the Rev. H.J. Strickert. Their attendants were Naomi Hartle and Norman Birk.
