Benton - 40 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Benton of Jackson were honored with a surprise dinner party in celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary.

The event was held Nov. 7, 2010, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, hosted by their children.

Benton and Alice Nitsch were married Nov. 7, 1970, at Emanuel United Church of Christ, by the Rev. Fred Brandenburg. Their attendants were Elsie and Edwin Jr. Peetz, Elda and Kenneth Siebert, Cindy Schmoll and Phillip Ulrich.

The couple has two children, Jennifer Elfrink of Scott City and Jarrett (Chas) Benton of Jackson. They have four grandchildren, Ashton and Lindsey Elfrink, and Luke and Brock Benton.
