BENTON, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Houck of Benton observed their 50th anniversary recently with several celebrations.
The first was held at the Chateau Knoll in Bettendorf, Iowa, hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Victoria Houck of Davenport, Iowa.
The second was a dinner in the John Deere Emporium at Planted Earth in Moline, Ill., hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Polito of Charlotte, N.C.

On the couple's return to Missouri they were honored at a surprise dinner by the congregation of House of Prayer in Grant City.
Houck and Barbara Joann Smith were married May 19, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.
The couple has eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
