The couple was married Dec. 21, 1939, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.
The Heises have three children: David Heise and wife, Jeanne; Charles Heise and wife, Kathy; and Beverly Powless and husband, Randy. They have five grandchildren: Jerald Heise, Jason Powless, Staci Powless, Carrie and Laurie Heise; and a great-grandchild, Maxwell.
