ANNIVERSARIES: BIDEWELLS MARK 65 YEARS

JACKSON, Mo. -- Ivan and Kathlyn Bidewell of Albuquerque, N.M., recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Originally from Bollinger County, the Bidewells were married July 19, 1936, in Jackson.

Bidewell received a master's degree from the University of Iowa. He was a coach and teacher at New Madrid, and taught English and coached varsity basketball at Missouri Military Academy in Mexico. After teaching 10 years in St. Louis County, the Bidewells moved to Albuquerque. He was on staff at Zimmerman Library at the University of New Mexico when he retired.

Mrs. Bidewell has served as a Sunday School pianist at Central United Methodist Church.

The couple has three children: David Bidewell and Susan Bidewell and families of state of Washington, and Janeann Ward and family of Colorado Springs, Colo.
