JACKSON -- Mr. and Mrs. Ken Barnicle of Jackson recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at First Presbyterian Church.

Friends and relatives attended from Jackson, Fruitland, St. Louis, St. James, Arnold and Chesterfield.

Barnicle and Marian Hulsey were married March 23, 1940, at Keysville Church in Crawford County.

Barnicle was an auctioneer 50 years, and was a fireman and engineer with Frisco Railroad 30 years. He also sold farm machinery, and served one term as mayor of Ellisville. His wife also helped with the auction business. They are members of First Presbyterian Church.

The couple has two sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard and Ellynn Barnicle of Millersville, and Michael and Margie Barnicle of Chesterfield.

The Barnicles have four grandchildren, Jeffrey Barnicle, Stacy Geary, Tony Thompson and Theresa Barnicle. They have three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Thompson, Alexis Mansker and Ethan Geary.
