What it is

~Women on Par to Save Babies, a fundraiser golf tournament now in its fourth year that supports the March of Dimes.

When to be there

~Tee time is 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20 at Cape Girardeau Country Club. Registration and a provided lunch (from Gordonville Grill) begins at 11 a.m. Cost is $90 per player, or $360 per team. Tournament sponsorships are also available.

Why you should go

~"The March of Dimes mission is to help every baby be born healthy and the organization is a natural fit with a ladies golf scramble. Prematurity,

low birth weight, birth defects - it is vital that we are funding research and education for healthier pregnancies," says Laurel Adkisson. a tournament organizer.
