__Previous offices held or sought:__ Alderman Ward II, City of Perryville
__What is the most important issue facing Perryville? What can be done about it?__
Maintaining our infrastructure and making necessary upgrades to keep it working for peak usage without passing higher cost on to the citizens than necessary. Our sewer plant is in need of immediate attention. I believe that we can correct current existing problems at a much more affordable cost than building a whole new plant that would maintain capacities for our industry to grow and still be adaquite to handle our citizens needs.
__What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?__
I have 20 years experience as past alderman where I was very involved with the Public Works department. I understand how these different facilities work and what they mean to our community as a whole. I also understand how important they are to all of us to sustain the quality of life we deserve and expect as citizens. I also know what to expect when problems with them come up. They are a necessity.
__What infrastructure improvements would you like to see?__
We have had major infiltration problems in town and especially in Ward II for years. We need to make our sewer lines are in top shape before these problematic issues arise so they can handle the heavy flows when they occur. We should also continue to track all of our infrastructure and do necessary maintanence to keep them working properly without disruption in service they provide at a cost that our citizens can afford.
