What is the most important issue facing the Jackson School District?

I can't say one issue is of more importance than another, nor do I believe anyone else can. I do believe and hope others agree the most important issues are our students' welfare. We must keep in mind what education is all about. The 3 R's. This should be the cornerstone and the base for all issues concerning our student and parents in the district. What is best for their education and success for the future is my first priority.

What in your education or background makes you qualified for this office?

I have raised a child with special needs within the Jackson School District. I know first hand what problems we faced as well as other parents whether their child had long- or short-term special needs.

Why are you better qualified than your opponent(s)?

I have worked with children with special needs.

What is your opinion of how the school construction project has proceeded?

The expansion was needed, but the project as handled by the main contractor in my eyes is a joke and lacks personal ownership. The laborers are doing a great job to complete the task placed before them. I would recommend we look more closely at any main contractors for further development -- and there will be further development within our district. It is a given as we continue to grow and flourish.
