Looked outside lately? It's like Mother Nature's Slip 'N Slide out there. I look like Mufasa, I have major trust issues with my weather app, and as tempting as it is to choose my sandals over another day of rain boots, I don't think soggy toes are going to be very helpful when I'm climbing to higher ground.

But sneakers would.

Five years ago, if you would have suggested sneakers as an alternative to heels, I'd have laughed in your face, whined about my strappies for the next three hours and finished off the night by rubbing my aching feet -- but the sneaky sneaker trend has snuck up on me, and it should you, too.

"Athleisure" is more than just a passing trend; it's basically its own subclass. We all know someone who nearly refuses to change out of their yoga pants. The busier we get -- airports, meetings, social events -- the more it makes sense that we adopt and embrace a fashion trend that invites us to introduce our tootsies to a little TLC. But I assure you, it's not at the expense of being posh. With an all-black pantsuit, a summer dress or a graphic tee and cutoffs, white sneakers execute your look without executing your feet.

Another trend sparking an interest is rose gold hair. Yes, it's a thing. With celebrities like Blake Lively and Ellie Goulding leading the way, rose gold locks are a perfect way to soften up for summer, and while I can't say I've ever been at risk of beating down the doors to the salon for the recent fads involving silver, lavender and teal, I might be tempted to lean into the skid on this one -- or at least gawk at you from across the room when you do. I apologize in advance for making you "blush." (See what I did there?)
