1. What is the most important issue facing the Leopold School Board? Like most rural Missouri schools, Leopold is facing declining class size and budget shortfalls.
2. Funding the increase to the school foundation formula is a point of debate among state politicians. What should the district do to prepare for a potential shortfall in funding? If the school system cannot receive the required funding it needs from the state and local taxes, then I feel it is up to the community to support its school. We cannot rely solely on the school to educate our children. The community must stand behind not only the students but also the school.
3. What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office? The education I received from Leopold built a good foundation for me to work my way through college and ultimately find a good career locally. The support I received from family and community along the way filled in the gaps. I think this formula is the one I want my children to use on their path through education.
