1. What is the most important issue facing the Leopold School District? The possible loss of government funding is the most important issue facing Leopold public schools. But there are other problems involved with everyday business that also should be addressed. All problems should be handled quickly and professionally. The current board has done a good job, and my plan is to help keep things going as smoothly as possible.

2. Funding the increase to the school foundation formula is a point of debate among state politicians. What should the district do to prepare for a potential shortfall in funding? We should brace for it however we can. The sooner we know how short the funding is, or even if it will be, the better off we will be. I've read and heard lots of speculation but nothing concrete. I'd hate to cut out any programs unnecessarily.

3. What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office? I am a graduate of Leopold High School and have lived in this community for approximately 35 years. I attended Southeast Missouri State University on a Regent's Scholarship and later attended trade school through my employer. I understand that a public school must prepare students for college, technical school, military, or even entry straight into the workforce, and I hope to help Leopold public schools continue to do this.
