__What Products and Services do you offer?__
__Dave LeGrand, owner:__We offer automatic and standard transmission remanufacturing and repair, transfer case, differentials, ect. We have free diagnostic checks, free estimates and free consultations. We have a large parts department, courtesy shuttle service, pickup and delivery of remanufactured units and a nation wide warranty on all our rebuilt and remanufactured transmissions. We also offer high performance and heavy duty applications.
__What makes your business unique?__
My dad, Ben LeGrand, opened for business in 1953, he worked for a dealership for several years and saw a need for a transmission shop in this area. 60 years later, we have a highly skilled team with over 120 years of combined experience.
__What future plans do you have for your business?__
For starters, we're in our third generation with my son, Josh, continuing the family tradition. We are also just completing our new building that handles larger commercial vehicles. As long as transmissions are in need of repair, we hope to continue to grow. Offering Cape and its surrounding area more jobs, possible other locations and more up to date transmission repair.
__What awards or special recognition did you receive in 2012?__
We received the People's Choice award again, in 2012, for the 6th year in a row.
__How has technology affected your business over the past 60 years?__
In 1953, transmissions were simple, with only two and three speeds. Today technological advancements affect our industry almost daily. Transmissions now have five and six speeds. The industry recently introduced the first eight speed, not to mention CVTs (constant velocity transmissions) as well as the hybrid transmission. All of these today are dominantly electronically controlled.
__How are you keeping up with the changes?__
We are constantly buying the latest diagnostic equipment and updating our computers and tools on a regular basis. Our technicians are required to attend several seminars a year along with keeping up with updated bulletins that we download daily from technical research companies. All of this is to keep us ahead of the curve and provide the best possible service to our customers.

The latest technical updates and upgraded parts are built into each remanufactured unit ensuring that LeGrand Brothers remanufactured transmissions are the most durable transmissions on the road today, out performing any of our competitors.
__What is your business philosophy?__
In the past sixty years, since my dad started this business our competition has increased significantly. We tend to focus on customers as opposed to the competition, believing that if we continue to build a quality product and take care of our customers we will continue to succeed!!
