Prayer group for parents who have lost a child of any age, especially parents who lost a baby from the time of conception through early infancy.   • Breast-feeding support group: 10 to 11 a.m. at Saint Francis Family BirthPlace. The group is designed to help the mother with breast-feeding after her discharge from the hospital. Fitness Plus offers summer camp

Fitness Plus has begun registration for 2008 Summer Camps to be held in June and July. The camps last seven days and are for children ages 7 to 12 to learn about proper nutrition, wellness and physical activity. Camps are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A Peewee Camp is offered for ages 3 to 6, and is a half-day camp, which meets Tuesday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. to noon. Priority registration (for Fitness Plus members) begins Wednesday and open registration begins April 23. For more information, call 331-5963.

Jackson health club to hold self-defense classes

HealthPoint Fitness in Jackson will offer free "self-defense for women" classes Saturday. Doug Johnson, a black belt instructor from Moo Sul Kwan Martial Arts, will teach three classes, at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. in the HealthPoint Fitness Community Room. Participants should dress comfortably for movement. To register for one of these free classes, call 243-2211.
