1. What is the most important issue facing Dutchtown? Obviously, the need for our village to stay dry is always of the utmost concern to our residents and business owners.
2. What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office? I reside in Dutchtown with my fiance and children. I have a vested interest in this community. The village of Dutchtown -- it's small, but it's home. I know my neighbors. Several of them I consider to be family. This is a quiet and safe community. I enjoy the fact that when I walk into our local post office, I know the folks I pass coming through the door. I love the small-town feel -- it feels like home.
3. Why are you better qualified than your opponents? I wouldn't say that I am necessarily better qualified than anyone else. I will say that I truly do have the best interests of this village in mind. We have quite a few younger couples with children that have recently relocated here, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I want these new neighbors to be happy they made that choice. I want this community to truly function at the highest possible level and show our neighboring communities that, although this village is small, it's no less important than any other village, town, city, etc. And also to show those communities, organizations, clubs and friends that have came here to help us in the past that we appreciate it, that what they did for us mattered and that we jumped back on our feet, with their help, and kept moving forward to make this a better place to live, to work and to call home.
