__What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?:__
I am finishing my first term on the board so I have three years experience as a board member. I have two children currently attending Jackson schools. I have over a decade of business management experience.
__What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?:__
The biggest challenges I see for the district is finding ways to increase the learning of all our students while balancing the districts finances thru some uncertain times in the state and federal economy. The biggest opportunity lies in the continue success that the schools are currently experiencing. We had a lot of tremendous things going on in the district and we can build on this and continue to succeed in all departments.
__How will you communicate your work to your constituents?:__
I will push for more open and consistent communications from both the district administration and the board. We have made some big gains in this area over the last few years but we still have room for improvement.
__What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?:__
I base my decisions on the following factors in this order: Student Safety, Student Learning, Faculty Support, Fiscal Responsibility.
