__Previous offices held or sought:__ none
__What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?:__
I have 26 years of experience with cape school district -- 13 as a student, and 13 as a parent of 3 children in the district, and I have 12 years of experience as a business owner managing millions of dollars and dozens of employees. I am also a financial and political conservative. I am not afraid to express my opinions, and I never just go along with the crowd.
__What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?:__
The Cape School district offers the most outstanding education in the region, particularly in areas of Math and Science. The challenges are continuing to meet the needs of students at all levels of performance given the ridiculous mandates of the state and federal government, particularly common core and Michelle Obama's lunch program, as well as all the PC nonsense that ties the hands of our teachers and administrators.
__How will you communicate your work to your constituents?:__
I plan to meet with all of the teachers and the administrators separately at least twice a year, attend at least one PTO meeting per school per year, as well as personally answer emails sent by parents, teachers, administrators, and taxpayers in the district, all of which my opponents and their predecessors on the school board have apparently been too busy to do.
__What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?:__
My years of experience as a student and a parent, along with my years of experience running a company, managing employees, and dealing with people. I want to be as fair as possible when making decisions, but ultimately it will come down to managing the taxpayers money responsibly, and doing the things that will benefit the most students, not one particular group.
