Travelers can park on Bart's parking lots for free?
Reliability may be the most important aspect of running a successful transportation business, according to Terry Tripp, manager of Bart Transportation. In spite of the recent weather, she said the business hasn't cancelled any scheduled trips to St. Louis so far this winter season.
In fact, in the 23 years that Bart has been in business, Tripp said, there have been very few times when they couldn't get their passengers to St. Louis due to road conditions.
Bart Transportation takes passengers from Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois and Springfield, Ill., areas to Lambert St. Louis International Airport and hospitals, hotels, and shopping malls in the St. Louis area.
They conveniently pick up passengers at their homes in Cape Girardeau & Jackson, or at central locations such as the mall or hotels. Travelers can also park in Bart's paved and well-lit parking lot free of charge.
As far as transporting passengers, Bart has had a few famous customers. Bart Transportation drove Davy Jones of the 1960s pop band The Monkees and also a munchkin from the "The Wizard of Oz."
Recently, Bart changed its location to 2519 E. Jackson Blvd. in Jackson, Mo. For more information, call 573-388-2844.
