To the editor: Concerning the sentencing of Eric Lee Ford, convicted of felony animal abuse: Prosecuting Attorney Morley Swingle cannot have it both ways. In the same letter to the editor, he says, "My office agreed he would receive probation" and "I expected my office to ask for some shock time."...

Concerning the sentencing of Eric Lee Ford, convicted of felony animal abuse:

Prosecuting Attorney Morley Swingle cannot have it both ways. In the same letter to the editor, he says, "My office agreed he would receive probation" and "I expected my office to ask for some shock time."

It is only the bottom line that counts. If Swingle's office does not do what the prosecutor expects, then I guess he needs to get more involved with his office.

The only thing left for those of us who care about this issue is to write to Circuit Judge David Dolan, P.O. Box 256, Charleston, Mo. 63736, asking for the little bit of justice that he can wield. Time is running out.
