Republicans take care of the wealthy, as evidenced by the recent tax cut for the wealthiest Missourians and the last-minute special interest deals for those with connections. We all take care of the poor with our taxes, donations, volunteering, etc., and that is good. We should always share with those who are less fortunate...

Republicans take care of the wealthy, as evidenced by the recent tax cut for the wealthiest Missourians and the last-minute special interest deals for those with connections.

We all take care of the poor with our taxes, donations, volunteering, etc., and that is good. We should always share with those who are less fortunate.

But who takes care of the middle class?

The middle class is shrinking. A few are getting wealthy, but more are falling into poverty. We have always hoped that our children would have a better life than us and for most of our history that has been true. Not anymore, in part because the middle class does not have a strong enough voice.
