Willing to share cool air, ice water

To the editor:

I was a neighbor of the mother and son who recently died due to the heat. I was not aware of the circumstances nor how bad it was.

I live in a humble abode, but I do have air conditioning and plenty of ice water. I'll be glad to share this with those who need them. There should be no more deaths due to the heat. If we all share, especially with children and senior citizens, it might help.

I'll even try to help them get to and from my home with taxi coupons or whatever the means. I could accept three people due to the lack of space. If it gets up in the 90s again, don't hesitate.
