A response to Bill Bonney and his question: "What's wrong with the vote of the people?"
Bill, I am all for the people to vote, and yes, I was disappointed with the outcome of the vote, only because of the voter turnout and misinformation. Donna Lichtenegger's small group got 843 voters out to seal the north border of Jackson and defeat the 9,895 eligible Jackson voters.
I do not think it is ethical for a state representative, who I had voted for, to solicit signatures to divide and favor one group over the rest of the district, and also to have a family member at this time in litigation against Jackson. Well, Bill, there is one thing we both agree upon and that is: "Thank God for our right to vote!" And I will be voting for Gerald Adams.
