Just look at the list of the club's involvement: cleanup day, Christmas gifts for the needy, well-baby programs, compulsory school, swimming pool, playground equipment, cleanup of Old Lorimier Cemetery and scholarships for women.

Let the historians of the future remember that it was the women of the Wednesday Club who devoted countless hours of time, effort and money to make sure the Cape Girardeau of tomorrow is a far better place than it was in all of its yesterdays.

Thank you, Wednesday Club members. Your work is appreciated over and over again.
