To the editor:
Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine recruitment centers all across the U.S. are reporting that enlistment levels for the military have been low for several months now. Some are quick to say the war in Iraq is to blame for these low numbers.
Others, including myself, say that while there is even a remote possibility that Hillary Rodham Clinton could be the next commander-in-chief of our armed forces in a few short years, few potential recruits relish the idea of serving under and having to salute Mrs. William Jefferson Clinton as their next top military executive.
Egads! Perish the thought.
