War expenses will produce massive deficits

What is the real reason for the U.S. crusade against Iraq? We have been crying wolf about Iraq and its alleged weapons of mass destruction. But our 400-person weapons inspection team with U.S. experts using U.S. intelligence, U.S. helicopters and U.S. U-2 spy planes directed by U.S. intelligence agencies have found nothing. Further, Iraq has allowed all locations including palaces and private property to be inspected. Scientists have provided private interviews.

Chief weapons inspector Hans Blix gave Iraq a B for its cooperation while under extreme pressure from the United States to say it was in material breach of the U.N. inspection mandate. What is the harm in giving the weapons inspectors more time? And why do we have to bribe Turkey with $31 billion? Why do we have to buy the votes on the U.N. Security Council with $100 million in aid for Cameroon?

We're making a mess of the United States too. With $100 billion to $1 trillion to be spent on a war in Iraq while cutting taxes by $2.5 trillion over the next decade, the United States will run the most massive deficits in history just as baby boomers are retiring. Looks like we have to work till we are 70 years old, so we can kill thousands of innocent people in Iraq.
