It's way too early for most Missouri voters to make much distinction between the education plans of Republican Jim Talent and Democrat Bob Holden, the likely contenders to occupy the governor's office starting next year. But one thing is clear: Talent wants gambling revenue to be icing on the education cake, while Holden wants to keep it as part of the mainstay funding for schools.
