UNITED WAY EYES ITS GOAL

The campaign season for the Area Wide United Way is in full swing, and nearly half of the $500,000 goal has been reached. There is about a month left in the official campaign, and United Way supporters are optimistic about reaching the goal.

The 24 United Way agencies that receive support from generous donations are key components of a vibrant and active community. Gifts from individuals and corporations go a long way in making all of these programs successful.

Whether a United Way gift is a lump-sum check or a year-around contribution through payroll deductions, the money is important. And the work of the recipient organizations goes on throughout the year for the benefit of the area.

Anyone who hasn't made a donation yet should give serious thought to the quality of life of this area and the worthwhile services provided by United Way agencies.

It is never too late to make a contribution to United Way.
