Thoughts on guns, domestic violence

To the editor:

Has anyone else recognized the fact that there are no African Americans on the city council or that there is a large number of meth labs in Cape Girardeau, Bollinger and Perry counties? But not much is heard about that. Or the fact that the drug and gun trades are not run by the African Americans in Cape Girardeau.

I would like to see the legislature pass the concealed-weapon law so that all citizens would have an equal opportunity to defend themselves.

And one more item: Domestic-violence laws in this state are the worst I have ever witnessed. Missouri says get an ex parte order and everything will be fine. Ask the families of the dead women who were taken away by the ones who loved them.
