I read where the Cape Girardeau City Council is looking for ways to monitor the over-the-counter drug pseudoephedrine which is used in making meth. I know how the government likes to "fix" everything, but here's a novel idea that won't place onerous restrictions on honest people: Install cameras above the registers where all these drugs are to be sold, then require that drugs be sold at this register. ...

I read where the Cape Girardeau City Council is looking for ways to monitor the over-the-counter drug pseudoephedrine which is used in making meth.

I know how the government likes to "fix" everything, but here's a novel idea that won't place onerous restrictions on honest people: Install cameras above the registers where all these drugs are to be sold, then require that drugs be sold at this register. Then, anyone buying them will have their picture displayed for all to see. This would be relatively inexpensive and much simpler than more bureaucracy.

As we've learned, the less government involved, the better the solution.
