Thanks to Tour de Cape sponsors

To the editor:The eighth annual Tour de Cape bicycle ride was held Oct. 6. The event brought 278 bicycle riders from as far away as Albuquerque, N.M., and Madison, Wis., to participate.

Riders enjoyed the beautiful fall scenery of Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois while raising money for children participating in the Mississippi Valley Therapeutic Horsemanship Program and scholarships for Cape Girardeau County high school students.

The Cape Girardeau County Rotary Club would like to thank all of our corporate and independent sponsors for their financial assistance. We would like to thank the many agencies and volunteers, both past and present, which make the event possible.

We ask that everyone mark their calendars for Oct. 4, 2008. The Tour de Cape will be back bigger and better than ever.
