Gov. Jay Nixon has proclaimed the week of Jan. 26 through Feb. 1 as School Board Recognition Week. In collaboration with the Missouri School Boards' Association, the Jackson R-2 District is honored to recognize our school board members. Elected by local constituents, members do not receive compensation for their tireless efforts.

School Board Recognition Week is a time for students, parents, school faculty and staff and community members to thank these individuals who serve public education on behalf of our community. Through their roles as valuable volunteers, they support the efforts of the Jackson R-2 School District to fulfill the mission of "igniting the desire for learning and continuous improvement, graduating educated and responsible citizens." Please join me in recognizing the important contributions of our Jackson R-2 School Board members:

Ms. Terri Tomlin, president

Mr. Dan Stover, vice president

Ms. Alaina Hinze
