Thanks for helping Stewart family

To the editor:

On behalf of the Scott City High School sophomore class, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the Aaron Stewart benefit dinner and auction held Dec. 7. A combined total of nearly $7,000 was raised to assist the Stewart family with medical and travel expenses while Aaron battles Hodgkin's disease. We want to thank all the businesses in the Cape Girardeau, Jackson and Scott City area that were instrumental in making the auction and dinner a success.

There are many, many more people who supported the fund-raising efforts and worked very hard to make this event a success. Thank you all for your prayers, support and donations to Aaron and his family.
