Matthew managed to get into the semifinals past thousands of other hopefuls. And while the show's editing process didn't give him the same on-air time that many others received, he still was able to show himself wonderfully. He got fantastic feedback and compliments from all three judges prior to the show and after.

To those who are disappointed that Matthew will not be proceeding on in the show, please know there are many factors besides talent in the difficult profession of show business. You may recall several amazing singers who did not win "American Idol" and are now having fabulous careers. You will hear much more from Matthew Piazzi, too. He has already received some offers for work and major representation based on his work on the show. We hope you will continue to follow his ongoing career. We so appreciate all of his Missouri fans.
