I would like to thank the many property owners and residents of Cape Girardeau County for their volunteer assistance in clearing a travel way through the county roads after the windstorm last Friday afternoon. Your many hours of work with chain saws, tractors and trucks allowed the work to progress much faster. We will be several weeks clearing the rights of way of debris, but with your help everyone has a way in and out along the roads...

Your many hours of work with chain saws, tractors and trucks allowed the work to progress much faster. We will be several weeks clearing the rights of way of debris, but with your help everyone has a way in and out along the roads.

After working for the people of Cape Girardeau County for more than 15 years, I am no longer surprised by the volunteer assistance when recovering from storms, but I continue to be impressed and thankful for your work.
