One of the more inspirational evenings of the year is the Teen Challenge International of Mid-America annual banquet. Each year the organization, which ministers to men with drug, alcohol and other addictions, hosts this event to help fund its operations. One of the more inspirational evenings of the year is the Teen Challenge International of Mid-America annual banquet. Each year the organization, which ministers to men with drug, alcohol and other addictions, hosts this event to help fund its operations. A number of the program's alumni and current participants give their testimonies. It's an incredible witness of the lives that have been changed.

This year's banquet is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at the Show Me Center. To reserve a seat, call 335-6508. Last year the event drew many in the community representing churches and businesses, as well as individuals who choose to support the faith-based organization.

Many lives have been changed for the better because of the organization and its dedication to the participants' physical and spiritual needs.
