A groundswell of Americanism is rising with the tea party movement. Brought on by crippling legislative spending and originally symbolic of the tea tax protest during American Revolution, U.S. taxpayers of today have already spawned grassroots Taxed Enough Already parties in dozens of communities across our country.
Virtually ignored intentionally by the mainstream media, this phenomenon has become a tidal wave of civil action, quickly developing into a nationally organized movement. Higher profile leaders are signing on. A U.S. Senate resolution is in the works. And on April 15 (tax day) over 300 tea parties are scheduled, including one at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau from 5 to 7 p.m. If you believe that government needs to hear from its citizens and that our elected representatives should be sent a clear and present message, attend the Cape Girardeau tea party on April 15 and make a difference. Come join this important and historic event. Our children are depending on us.
