To the editor:

Your great article concerning the Jackson hiking-biking trail brought welcome and much earned credit to two talented Jackson city employees, engineer Dan Triller and public works coordinator Rodney Bollinger, whose dedication and tireless efforts helped make this proposed trail possible.

But I would like to take a moment to commend the person who initially contacted me and began coordination with my company: the energetic parks director, Shane West Anderson. It was he who proposed and did the behind-the-scenes maneuvering to make this great project possible.

As a resident of Jackson, it makes me proud to know this trio represents a very talented and youthful corps that makes Jackson a great place to live. And, after meeting and planning with these rising stars, it's easy to see they share the long-range vision of their leader, Mayor Paul Sander, whose presence and leadership alone makes Jackson work better than any city I've ever been associated with.
