To the editor: I am writing about the "Try church" comment in Speak Out. It said, "People go to the movies when times get tough. I would suggest going to church. It doesn't cost you money, and it sure makes me feel better." I suggest going to church too, but don't go empty-handed. Take the money you spent on going to the movies and give it to the church...

Jesus said to be a giver and you will receive. Don't be a taker. Be a giver.

It costs money to pay the preacher, heat the church, pay the utilities and give to all those people who don't give anything to the church but feel they can ask for their needs to be met.

Someone has to care and give money to the church.
