I THINK the libraries at Jackson are fine the way they are. Besides, the city offices are moving out of the building where the present Jackson library is. Why can't it just expand there? Or if they want to combine the libraries together, why can't they have the books at one location and the videos at the other? That way they would have plenty of room, and they would not have to build new buildings. I think it's a shame not to go ahead and utilize the buildings we have. Leave the libraries the way they are. They're at a good location for the kids. I think it is a very dumb move.
I READ in the Newsweek magazine that Ida Lupino died. She was a longtime movie actress, married to Howard Duff, the Sam Spade of old time radio. It's strange that our local TV or newspaper didn't mention it.
AS TO the city of Jackson combined library being located in the park at a cost of $1.5 million, I'm against it. That means a big inconvenience for school kids who now can walk to the library, plus naturally higher taxes. Best leave it centrally located as it is.
