SHAME ON you, Sam Blackwell. You of all people, as a native of Cape Girardeau, should know that Magill Hall of Science is spelled M-a-g-i-l-l for Dr. Magill who's home was only two houses from your parents home. THIS IS to the mayor of Commerce. Haven't the people in Commerce been through enough destruction with the flood? Why would you want to pour salt in their wounds with even a thought of bringing a riverboat gambling to the town?...

It's M-a-g-i-l-l

Salt in the wound

THIS IS to the mayor of Commerce. Haven't the people in Commerce been through enough destruction with the flood? Why would you want to pour salt in their wounds with even a thought of bringing a riverboat gambling to the town?

Help Oak Ridge

I'M FROM Cape Girardeau, and I do a lot of business at Oak Ridge. I think that if Oak Ridge was promised the interchange before Jackson was, they should have the interchange. Jackson's already had two, and they don't need another one. I think Oak Ridge should get it. Just think about the people up in that neighborhood. Look how much faster they could get the hospitals.

No new interchange

IN MY opinion neither Jackson nor Oak Ridge need another exit off of I-55. They already have enough. Jackson has two exits, and Oak Ridge is not that far away from Jackson.

Volunteer corps

WHY WEREN'T the Ameritech students used to help fill sandbags? I thought they were to do community service for their pay. This is another boondoggle.

Trash at new lake

I WOULD just like to make a comment on the new Jackson City Park lake. They letting the new one start to look trashy and really, really unattractive. I think they need to start over once again and this time actually take good care of it.
