ED MEESE said Ronald Reagan had a blueprint of the government. Well, he sure did with the help of Ollie North, along with Meese, who was the attorney general at the time, George Bush and Weinberger, who blew the whistle on all of them. In my estimation, they showed poor taste in bringing a man like Meese here. One thing about Bill Clinton, he shows you everyday what he's doing. He will make mistakes -- we all do, but he'll come through. He's a great speaker and a good man, and that's what won the election for him.
IN THE university alma mater song it states that the pupils are there to search and learn the truth. In the sociology class, it is taught that the laws of society are determined by what is right for the majority of the people. Homosexuality is wicked. It is wrong to teach young men that it is an alternate lifestyle. It will affect their health and shorten lifespan. If the number of homosexuals increases in a nation, it will destroy the nation that practices it.
I WAS calling because I read an article about a man who received probation for burglary and stealing. I happen to know that this man has done this many times before, and I don't believe that he should have gotten off so easily.
THIS IS to the individual who picked up my three perfectly good laundry baskets that I put my recycling in because they thought I wanted to get rid of them with the city pickup. Would you please return those? I'd really appreciate. Not everything on the corner is for you to pick up.
I WANT commend the road crew that cleaned the right of way on County Road 621. It was a beautiful job, well done.
THE DEMOCRATS are always talking about everybody in this country being equal -- until it comes to paying taxes. Then they expect those who make more money to pay more taxes than the person who makes less money. Now will you tell what is equal and fair about that?
I CAN'T believe that Edwin Meese thinks we should return to the Reagan form of government. It was during Reagan reign that we incurred most of the $4 trillion debt which hobbles our economy. It is such an immense amount of money that it is impossible to ever repay it. And the interest on it is so much that there's almost no way to balance the budget. No, Mr. Meese, we do not need to duplicate Mr. Reagan's term in office. We cannot afford it.
THANKS FOR Scott Moyers' delightful tribute to his wonderful wife. I'm still smiling. I might change the title though. How about "Faster than a CPA ... Super Wife"?
